The 2009-2010 school year is here!  We are proud to announce that Leto HS has been recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the top high schools in the nation, and we hope to build on this and other wonderful developments with exciting initiatives.

Over the summer we have been working hard to make our school more beautiful and improve our academic programs; we have been working with the community to partner on a new incentive program; and we are expanding our efforts to communicate with students and  their families more effectively.

Our Open House is scheduled for August 20th, 2009 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  We are looking forward to having you and your families visit and meet our Faculty and Administrative Staff.  We would like to have the tremendous support from our parents and the community.

AP Calculus Among Best

Congratulations to Mr. Christopher Collins and the students of the Advanced Placement Calculus class. Leto was recognized as being #2 in the district in overall passing rate—second only to Plant HS.

Over 80% of the students that took the course passed with a qualifying score, with the highest score being a 96%.  Of  23 high schools, only Plant and Leto scored above an 80% !
This is an immensely prestigious accomplishment and one that will surely lead to success on the national AP exam in May.  Mr. Collins is currently finalizing his National Board Certification.

Way to go Mr. Collins and the rest of the Falcon Math geniuses!!!
