Collegiate Academy Promotional Video

The Collegiate Academy at Leto High School opened in August 2013 and offers students an opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree while at the same time earning a high school diploma through our partner institution, Hillsborough Community College (HCC). Students take college classes free of charge on campus during the school day and may attend the HCC campus as well. There also is no charge for books.

Why attend The Collegiate Academy?
While the Academy offers students rigorous academic challenges, it also provides students with basic “college knowledge,” such as how to handle the pace and expectations of college courses, how to utilize college and university resources such as academic and financial aid advisors, and how to best manage their time.

The Collegiate Academy Advantages

College Instruction
-Classes are taught by qualified instructors who have graduate degrees in their areas of expertise.

Small Community
-Our teachers work to ensure that students have adequate academic support through the use of one-on-one and small-group instruction and after-school tutorials.
Academic Support
-The Academy blends the best of both worlds: a rigorous collegiate environment with the warmth and caring of a high school community.
College Credit Today!
-Academy students can take Dual Enrollment courses at Leto HS or at HCC. Depending on their course load, they can receive credit toward their Associate of Arts degree.
